The Cyclotomic Maplet will be loaded and displayed in a separate window. Click the "Close" button in the Cyclotomic window to terminate the Maplet.

Note: to view this maplet, you must have installed the Java JRE 1.5 (or newer) browser plug-in.

Notes:

• The Maplet automatically terminates if you use the "Back" button, or other browser navigation tools, for other purposes. To avoid this, start a new browser window prior to launching the Maplet.
• The amount of time the MapleNet server will wait for a result is fixed. The current setting is for 90 CPU seconds. This limit can be increased but realize that this is only a temporary fix --- someone is sure to want to test a larger problem. We are investigating more reliable ways to circumvent this limitation. At present, when this limitation is encountered, you will see a popup window with a somewhat obscure message.
• If you have Maple on your local computer, this Maplet can be downloaded from the URL http://maplenet.math.sc.edu/research/Cyclotomic.maplet. If your browser recognizes .maplet files, the Maplet should start automatically in MapletViewer on Windows systems or the command line version of Maple for UNIX (and Macintosh) systems.
• The Maple worksheet http://maplenet.math.sc.edu/research/Cyclotomic.mw uses embedded components to create an easy-to-use user interface to these algorithms within the Maple worksheet environment.
